Device:
You are encouraged to bring a device to use

1) Turn your notifications off for social media.
2) If your device is not being used for French work,
I may have to take the device away.
French work includes: TEAMS, Duolingo, Quizlet, and any of the language learning tools described: Wordreference, BonPatron, etc.
If you cannot self-regulate, do not bring your phone to class.

-your own umbrella, clothes that suit the weather
- no sharing of supplies! Bring your own pen, pencil, highlighter, French binder, lined paper, electronic device (if you have one/can self-regulate), colouring utensils
Please write your First AND Last name + date

Headphones:
Headphones/airpods are allowed in class, just make sure your volume is not too loud (cannot be disturbing others in the class), AND they need to be taken out when Mme B or another student is talking to the class
Food/Drink
Only water allowed in the class.
> Because we are removed from the school, sticky messes are harder (and more annoying) to clean up.
I encourage you to go outside to eat something!
BE NICE TO EACH OTHER
Language learning requires risk-taking. We want everyone to feel comfortable in class. No bullying behaviour of any kind is tolerated. This includes taking pictures or video of other people, laughing or whispering during a presentation, name-calling, physical violence etc. Please come and see me should you witness anything.
We are also in an usual time! We are all a little stressed about COVID, and we want to encourage and help each other. We have 10 weeks to complete this course, we are going to try our best!
Lates
Please try to be on time!! If being late become a problem, I will be communicating with the Admin/your parents or guardians. I also do the occasional pop quiz in the morning, so you want to be on time to get those marks.
Seating Plan
No formal seating plan! When you choose your seat for the day, that is your spot. You cannot move seats. Please do not circulate around the room (unless you are using the recycling bin/trash, going to the washroom, need help from me) We want to avoid having people walking around the room. Please do not talk/yell across the room to speak to a friend- make friends with the people directly around you :)
Asking questions
>> on TEAMS (during class)
>> come to end of long desk (use hand sanitizer)

You will get marked on:
Duolingo/Journals (Progress and commitment)

Away?
There may be a day or two that you miss because you're not feeling well (Thanks for doing the Daily Health Check!). Check Teams (Class Notebook), I will post what we did that day for you to catch up. All missing sheets for the week will be by the date "Aujourd'hui c'est..." , at the end of the week they get gathered up and put into the black box by the windows.
